About the authors
Jackie Darby
In 1963, Jackie Darby was a newborn abandoned in a garbage dump in Seoul, Korea, until a missionary nurse found her. Today, she is the mother of two grown children and a full-time missionary with her husband of more than 35 years, Randall. Together they founded Start with One Global ministry in Guatemala, where they are dedicated to encouraging and training leaders in various ways to create self-sustaining resources to have a greater impact on their communities through the gospel.
Aixa García
de López
Guatemalan, graphic designer, writer and speaker. Mother of four children, two of whom came through the miracle of adoption. She is a spokesperson for the Alianza Cristiana para los Huérfanos in Latin America and a board member of Christian Alliance for Orphans (US based organization). She resides in Guatemala City.
